White jeans are one of my favorite things to wear in the warmer months. They’re crisp, versatile, and make every outfit feel fresh. Every spring and summer, I get tons of questions about the best pairs to try, so I’ve put together my updated White Denim Guide for 2025.
When I’m shopping for white jeans, I look for a flattering fit, good coverage (no show-through!), and a fabric that holds its shape without feeling stiff. I’ve tried a lot of styles across a range of price points—from under-$100 finds to premium denim from brands like MOTHER and PAIGE, and I’m breaking them down by category to help you find the right pair. Whether you’re just dipping your toe into white denim or ready to upgrade to a designer style, I hope there’s something here for everyone.
Best White Jeans Under $200
It used to be easier to find great jeans in this price range, but these days, most premium denim brands have crossed the $200 mark. Still, there are a few strong contenders worth checking out. I recommend taking a look at Madewell, J.Crew, and Joe’s Jeans—they consistently offer well-made white denim with modern silhouettes and a flattering fit.
The Madewell Kick Out Crop Jeans in Pure White are getting harder to find, but when I tried them, I was really impressed. They’re thicker than some, stretchy and comfortable, but still have enough structure to hold their shape. I love the subtle kick crop—it’s not too dramatic but still helps balance my hips, and the finished hem gives them a more polished look.

Fit tip: Madewell jeans run big and tend to stretch out a bit, so I recommend sizing down.

Best Premium White Denim (Over $200)
I realize not everyone is willing or able to invest in premium denim, but I find the fit and feel is noticeably better than most lower-priced brands—and that’s what makes it worth the splurge for me. With white jeans especially, I want the fabric to be thick enough to provide coverage without feeling stiff or bulky, and that’s where premium brands tend to deliver. Cost per wear is definitely something to consider, but if you reach for them often and feel great every time you put them on, I call that money well spent.
Most of my favorite premium white jeans over the years have been from MOTHER and PAIGE. Both brands offer styles that are flattering, well-made, and hold their shape beautifully. That said, this year I found a pair from AG that I’ve been wearing on repeat.
My Favorite White Straight-Leg Jeans
The AG Mari is a slim straight crop made from AG’s Cloud Soft Stretch Denim, and I swear, they feel like pajamas. They also fit really well and hold their shape throughout the day, which is key—especially with white jeans.

The MOTHER Dazzler has long been my favorite straight-leg denim style, in just about any wash or color. That said, it has a very slim fit, which can read more like a skinny jean—especially on women with more athletic legs.
This photo is from a few years ago, and while I loved them at the time, they no longer fit me, as I’ve put on a little weight since then. I’ve thought about ordering a replacement pair, but I may not need them, since I added the Good American Good Legs Straight and the AG Mari to my closet this year.

My Favorite White Flares
For a white full-length flare, I love the MOTHER Weekender, but finding the right size has proven to be tricky. They run snug, even in my “new” size 30, so I ordered the 31—and if anything, they felt even tighter! I have no idea how that happens. I’m planning to stop by a store and try on a few pairs, since I know their sizing can be inconsistent, and I’m determined to find a pair that works.

With flares, getting the hem length right is key. I like mine to almost skim the floor when I’m wearing heels, so I usually pair them with platform sandals, wedges, or a block heel. If you’re planning to wear them with flats, you may need to have them hemmed, or look for a cropped version instead.
A similar option that is harder to find this season is the PAIGE Claudine in Lived In Crisp White Surfside. I wore these a lot last summer—the denim is soft, stretchy, and really comfortable, and I love the chewed raw hem for a slightly edgier look. You can still find a few sizes at Zappos and Amazon. I found them to run true to size.

My Favorite White Wide Leg Jeans
Wide-leg jeans are trending this season, and I’ve tried quite a few pairs in a range of denim washes. For white jeans specifically, my current favorites are all from PAIGE. Wide-leg styles can be a little trickier to style—especially in white—but they’re also fresh, flattering, and very on trend right now.
The PAIGE Leenah is more of a trouser-style jean, which makes it perfect for dressier looks. Because of the full length, I typically wear them with heels. I like them for church, dinner out, or even work, depending on your dress code.

For a cropped wide leg pair, the PAIGE Nellie is a great choice. It has a classic culotte silhouette with a high rise and loosely tailored shape. These feel just as polished as the Leenah, but they’re more versatile since you can easily wear them with flats or heels. They have a slightly more casual vibe but can still be dressed up, if you desire.

White Denim Styling Tips
White jeans might seem tricky at first, but once you find the right pair, they can be just as versatile as your favorite blue denim. Here are a few tips I’ve picked up over the years—and a few questions I get asked all the time:
What kind of underwear works best?
Stick with nude-to-you undergarments in a smooth, seamless fabric. A few of my go-to options are the Soma Microfiber Modern Brief or Chantelle Soft Stretch Seamless Hipster Panties. If you want a little light smoothing, the Wacoal Body Base Shorty. It might sound counterintuitive, but white or light-colored underwear can actually show through more than a nude shade that matches your skin tone.
Can you wear white jeans before Memorial Day?
Absolutely. The old “no white before Memorial Day” rule is long gone. White denim is fair game from early spring through the end of summer—or really all year round, if you style it with intention. I usually start wearing mine as soon as the weather warms up.
Do white jeans work with black tops or shoes?
Yes! In fact, I love pairing white jeans with black for a high-contrast, modern look. Just make sure the rest of the outfit ties together—add a belt, bag, or accessory in a coordinating neutral to help it feel cohesive.
A few other things to keep in mind:
- Choose a thicker denim with some structure to avoid clinginess and minimize show-through.
- If you’re between sizes, try sizing up—tight white jeans tend to be more unforgiving than other colors.
- A cropped or ankle-length pair is easier to wear with flats and sneakers, while full-length styles are great with heels or wedges.
- And don’t forget: white jeans can dress up or down, so don’t save them just for “special” outfits. I wear mine with everything from casual tees to dressy blouses.
