I am about to say something that could be considered a tad controversial, considering I create a lot of beauty content online, but here I go…I am a little bored with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale selection. Gasp! I said it out loud!
What once felt like an exciting opportunity to snag fall staples early, and at better prices, has turned into a flood of the same beige booties, cardigans, and makeup setting spray sets (do we really need TWO of the same setting sprays??). These very predictable items seem to be paraded across every influencer’s feed with copy-and-paste captions about “must-haves” and “closet staples.”

While I do feel the hype has started to make this sale feel slightly stale and predictable, there are still some great deals; you just have to dig a little deeper, which I have done for you today for the beauty category specifically! And luckily, the NSale, as it’s famously known as, is now open to the general public as of July 12th until it ends on August 3rd, and all of the prices go back up.

I’ve covered this sale for years, and I do know that if you want something, you have to jump on it fast, because this inventory goes quickly at these prices. My mentality when it comes to shopping this sale is also to consider exploring newer items/products you’ve been curious about, but hesitant to purchase at full price.
Now let’s get into my curated shopping list…
- T3 Airebrush Blow Dry Brush, now $99.99 (value $159.99). I own a cheap Revlon blow dry brush, but I recently gave it to my teenage daughter, and now I want this one! This hot-air brush will help take your hairstyle from smooth and sleek to bouncy and wavy in one easy step – which I love that concept. I bought the XL barrel T3 curling iron, now $99 (value $149) during this sale last year, and am so happy with the quality of the tool/brand and use it all the time.
- Simplehuman 8” Sensor Tabletop Mirror, now $159 (value $230). I own this exact one and it has worked for me for over 15 years now. It’s a great mirror, expensive, but definitely a good deal at this rate. If you do not have a makeup mirror that you can see well in, this would be a valuable purchase.

3. Slip Set of 2 Queen Silk Pillowcases, now $147 (value $210). Highly recommend this investment if you sleep on a pillow nightly. Of course you do! And I can’t go back to cotton pillowcases after sleeping on these. They are the best if you’re interested in sleeping on a beauty treatment every night for your skin and hair!
4. La Mer Jumbo 8.5 ounce Moisturizing Cream, now $1440 (value $1625). The iconic cream in this massive jar is a great deal if you’re a believer in its “Miracle Broth” and one day I hope to be able to try it for myself when my bank account allows. Until then, I will be buying this $98 Mini Miracles set of LaMer to be able to try out 4 of the best sellers from the brand.
Makeup Exclusives

1. YSL Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick Duo, now $56 (value $84). If you’ve been around my blog posts for a while you know I am a big fan of this YSL formula. It’s got a jelly balm feel, with a glassy shine finish. It includes the ultimate nude shade, 15 Showcasing nude (which I’m wearing in this post), as well as their shade 2 healthy glow plumper which is a clear pink tint.
2. Grande Lash + Brow Set, now $69 (value $131). I just ran out of my Grande Lash Growth Serum, and it worked so well, so I need a new tube. This set also includes a full-size of their thickening mascara and a mini brow enhancing serum I’ve never tried before. But I certainly will at this price.
3. Hourglass Makeup Brush Essentials, $136 (value $197). I will always recommend to spend a little more on makeup brushes because they will last you forever if taken care of. And Hourglass is known for impeccable ones. These complexion brushes for concealer, foundation, and powder formulas will be money well spent.

4. Mascara Sets. If there’s one makeup item I wouldn’t mind buying two at a time of, it’d be mascara. Especially your fave prestige mascara at a good deal – because there’s not a day I don’t go without wearing mascara and I go through it fast! The best ones are from Lancome Lash Idole (2 full sized tubes + 1 mini lash primer), now $38 (value $68) // Definicils Duo set with primer, now $40 (value $76) // Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara duo, now $39 (value $58)
5. Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Pinkgasm Lip + Cheek Set, now $49 (value $77). This liquid blush/highlighter shade is my all time fave. As you can see in the pics it’s just enough of a hint of warm pink and golden shimmer along with the same shade in a lip plumper version!

Honorable Mention Accessories
1. Diptyque Iconic Candle Gift Set, now $92 (value $130). I am slightly obsessed with lighting candles in my house, and I like for my house to smell expensive. The Diptyque brand is such a well-known perfume house in Paris, and this trio of scents of fig, tuberose, and berries would make an amazing housewarming gift for someone.
2. On Cloud 5 running shoe, now $99 (value $140). Every single person in my family owns a pair of On Cloud sneakers except for me, and they love them. I guess now is the time to give them a try at this price.

3. Tom Ford Maeve sunglasses, now $293 (value $40). I’ve been wanting to treat myself to some fancy new sunglasses, and this would definitely be the time to do that! Also looking at these Gradient Versace gold glasses, now $199.99 (value $334).
3. A chambray top like I’m wearing in this post will never go out of style, and a couple similar are here by Treasure and Bond, now $52.99 (value $79.50,) and Faherty Breeze now $89 (value $138).
4. Bauble Bar set of 3 multicolored bracelets, now $44.99 (value $68). I am a huge Bauble Bar fan, and I also love bracelet stacking. These are super cute and would spice up any outfit. Also, their set of 5 simple gold bracelets would be a staple to have.
5. Moonlight Eco Short Pj set, now $42.99 (value $65). A highly rated set of super soft PJs is always a great purchase, and this one comes in a lot of great color options and prints. If you’ve been sleeping in the same old ratty nightgown or tee, now is the time to treat yourself.
6. Dolce Vita Lilo Sock Booties now $104.99 (value $160). I do love a sock-like ankle that stretches to fit without looking bulky when it comes to a bootie. These are priced just right and are super chic.
There you have it – my tiny but mighty NSale suggestions. Curious how many of you look forward to this annual sale and shop for the deals? And if you missed last week’s post, I showed you how to recreate a famous billionaire bridal makeup look! Can you guess who it is??
