Fashion’s biggest night of the year took place last night at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and the celebrities over 40 stole the show. The 2025 Met Gala was accompanied by some of the biggest names in Hollywood (Diana Ross’ appearance? Iconic.) and the stars certainly dressed to the nines. This year’s theme was titled “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and spotlighted the impact of Black dandyism and tailoring. Diana Ross returns to the Met Gala in full feathered glory
Leave it to none other than the iconic Diana Ross, 81, to make one of the grandest appearances of the night. It was her first time attending the Met Gala since 2003, and it’s safe to say she didn’t disappoint. She stepped out in a white gown embellished with feathers and sparkle, complete with a dramatic, feathery, embellished cape and feathered hat.

The Golden Globe 2025 Best Actress winner walked the carpet in a structured black and white gown with an over-the-head arch attached. Demi, 62, wore her hair in a sleek updo and completed the look with silver jewelry.

While we saw a lot of black and white outfits on the carpet last night for this year’s tailored theme, some stars weren’t afraid to dive into color. What would be a tailored theme without a white button-down? Anne Hathaway, 42, tucked a chic, drapey white button-down into a rhinestoned, striped maxi skirt complete with a slit in the back. Her hair was styled in a high, voluminous ponytail.

It was a mother-daughter night for Diana and Tracee Ellis Ross! Tracee Ellis, 52, wore a structured, colorful Marc Jacobs pantsuit that had a big, gorgeous pink bow tied around the waist and at the back. She completed the look with a structured, pink hat and red lipstick.

Clearly, short bobs with baby bangs were a trend at the Met Gala this year. Pamela Anderson, 57, partook in the hair trend, and as for her outfit, she wore a bejeweled, floor-length, structured A-line gown.
