GloRilla is pushing back against a copyright lawsuit accusing her of stealing the phrase “all natural, no BBL” from another artist. In a new court filing submitted on September 8, the Memphis rapper’s legal team argued that the expression, commonly used to describe a woman with a natural body who hasn’t had a Brazilian Butt Lift, is too generic and widespread to be protected by copyright law. “The phrase at issue… is too common, everyday, trite, and cliched to be protectable,” her lawyers stated, adding that “anyone who listens to the two songs should easily reach the conclusion that these songs are not substantially similar.”
The lawsuit was originally filed by Natalie Henderson, who performs as SlimDaBodyLast on Instagram and claims GloRilla lifted the line from her track, which features the lyric, “All natural, no BBL/ Mad hoes go to hell.” GloRilla’s 2024 song “Never Find” includes the line, “Natural, no BBL/ but I’m still gon’ give him hell,” which Henderson alleges is strikingly similar. However, GloRilla’s legal team dismissed the claim, citing at least seven other songs with similar language and arguing there is no proof the rapper ever heard Henderson’s work.
This marks the second time GloRilla has faced legal action over her lyrics, following a 2023 case involving alleged unlicensed samples that was ultimately dismissed.

Ethiopia officially inaugurated the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) on Tuesday, with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed hailing the $4-billion megaproject as a “great achievement for all black people.” The dam, Africa’s largest hydroelectric facility, stands at 170 metres high and spans nearly two kilometres across the Blue Nile, near the Sudanese border. It is designed to hold 74 billion cubic metres of water and generate 5,150 megawatts of electricity, more than doubling Ethiopia’s current capacity.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by regional leaders including Kenya’s William Ruto and Somalia’s Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, was marked by patriotic performances, a drone light show, and calls for African unity.
While GERD is a major symbol of national pride and technological progress for Ethiopia, it has also deepened long-standing tensions with downstream nations, especially Egypt, which relies on the Nile for 97% of its water. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has repeatedly labelled the dam an “existential threat,” despite Ethiopia’s assurances that the project will not disrupt water flow. “For downstream countries, Ethiopia has accomplished GERD as a shining example for black people. It will not affect your development at all,” Abiy said during the ceremony.
Experts warn the dam’s geopolitical implications remain unresolved, with diplomatic efforts by global powers and institutions failing to mediate a binding agreement among Nile Basin nations over the past decade.

NBA icon Carmelo Anthony will be celebrated in his hometown of Baltimore with a dedicated exhibit titled “House of Melo”, set to open on October 25. Hosted in a historic Art Deco building, the exhibit will spotlight Anthony’s illustrious basketball career, philanthropic efforts, and cultural impact. According to local station WBFF, the display will feature personal artifacts and milestones from Anthony’s life and is designed to inspire visitors to pursue their own dreams, both personal and professional, by tracing his journey from Baltimore streets to basketball stardom.
“This isn’t just an exhibit, this is my story,” Anthony said in a statement. “You can’t tell that story without Baltimore. This city raised me, challenged me, and gave me the drive to grow.” Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott praised Anthony as a symbol of the city’s resilience and ambition, stating, “No matter what higher heights he reaches, he always stays grounded in his values.” The exhibit is being produced by “Where Tomorrows Aren’t Promised” co-author D. Watkins and Anthony’s longtime stylist and creative director, Khalilah Beavers.
True to Anthony’s vision of accessibility, the exhibit will be hosted at Baltimore’s Enoch Pratt Free Library—free of charge, with no tickets or reservations required.

Alexander Isak has officially begun life as a Liverpool player after being spotted at the club’s Kirkby training base, edging closer to his highly anticipated debut. The Swedish striker, who arrived in a blockbuster £125 million ($169m) move from Newcastle United on transfer deadline day, was filmed donning Liverpool training gear as the club shared a short clip captioned: “Time to get to work.”
Isak’s move marks the most expensive signing in Liverpool’s history and was one of the headline stories of the summer transfer window. The deal followed weeks of tense negotiations, including Newcastle initially rejecting a £110 million bid. With the Magpies securing Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade as a replacement, the door finally opened for Isak’s switch to Anfield.
After limited pre-season action and a brief 18-minute cameo for Sweden during the international break, the 25-year-old is now focused on regaining full match fitness. He could be in contention for Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League clash with Burnley this weekend, with key fixtures against Atletico Madrid and Everton also looming.
