Rapper GloRilla was arrested earlier this week after authorities investigating a burglary at her Atlanta-area home discovered a significant amount of marijuana in a bedroom closet. The break-in occurred in the early hours of Saturday, July 19, while the artist was not present. According to police, the burglary was interrupted when someone inside the home fired shots at the intruders, though no injuries were reported. While securing the scene, deputies reportedly smelled marijuana and called in a drug task force, which obtained a warrant and uncovered what was described as a “significant amount” of marijuana. GloRilla now faces charges of felony marijuana possession and possession of a controlled substance.
The rapper voluntarily turned herself in to the Forsyth County Jail on Tuesday and was later released on a $22,260 bond. Sheriff Ron Freeman acknowledged the complexity of the situation in a statement, saying, “The homeowner is a victim of a serious crime, and we are committed to bringing the suspects to justice. At the same time, we must continue to uphold and enforce the law in all aspects of this case.” As of now, police have not located any of the three suspected intruders.

The White House has pushed back against a Wall Street Journal report claiming that US President Donald Trump was informed in May that his name appears in the Justice Department’s documents related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The newspaper reported that Attorney General Pam Bondi told Trump during a routine briefing that he was among hundreds of individuals mentioned in the files. While inclusion in the documents does not imply wrongdoing, the White House has dismissed the article as a “fake news story,” with Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung calling it “a continuation of the fake news stories concocted by the Democrats and the liberal media.”
