A British man, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, 40, is the sole survivor of the Air India crash that killed 241 people shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad on Thursday. The London-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed into a residential area, erupting into flames. Ramesh, seated in 11A, said he had “no idea” how he survived and was surrounded by bodies when he regained consciousness. He is currently being treated in a hospital and searching for his brother, who was also on the flight.
The crash claimed the lives of 53 British nationals among the 242 on board. Nigerian Afrobeats star D’Banj has initiated legal proceedings against American music icon Marc Anthony over the unauthorized use of his 2012 global hit “Oliver Twist.” The dispute centers around Marc Anthony’s 2024 track “Muevense,” the lead single from his album of the same name, which interpolates elements of D’Banj’s Afrobeats classic without prior clearance.
