Hip hop superstar Cardi B may soon trade the mic for the mat, as WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque revealed the rapper is eager to make her wrestling debut. While already confirmed as the host of August’s SummerSlam, the “WAP” hitmaker’s ambitions appear to extend far beyond commentary or backstage cameos. In an interview, Triple H shared, “I don’t know if anybody can control Cardi B… If she wants to, I think it’s going to be hard to talk her out of it.” Calling her a thrill to work with, he hinted that anything could happen once Cardi B steps into the WWE universe.
Cardi B’s potential in-ring debut has already sparked excitement among current superstars. Former WWE Women’s Champion Liv Morgan, alongside tag team partner Raquel Rodriguez, challenged Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion to a tag team showdown. “That offer still stands if they want a shot at our newly-crowned championships,” Morgan teased. Cardi’s involvement would follow in the footsteps of other music stars like Travis Scott and Sexyy Red, who’ve stepped into the squared circle, continuing WWE’s trend of blending pop culture with pro wrestling.

Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria star Eric Dane has broken his silence on his battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), sharing an emotional and deeply personal update during his first public interview since being diagnosed. Speaking with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America, the 52-year-old actor revealed that his symptoms began 18 months ago with weakness in his right hand. After months of uncertainty and medical evaluations, Dane received a definitive ALS diagnosis in April 2025. Since then, the disease has progressed rapidly, leaving him with no function in his right arm.
In a particularly harrowing moment, Dane recounted a recent snorkeling trip where he was too weak to swim back to the boat, and his daughter had to rescue him. Despite the challenges, Dane remains focused on his family and career. His wife, Rebecca Gayheart, has withdrawn her divorce petition, and the couple continues to co-parent their two daughters. He expressed deep gratitude for her unwavering support, calling her his “greatest champion.” Professionally, Dane plans to return to the set of Euphoria for its third season, saying that staying active gives him purpose. “I don’t think this is the end of the story,” he said, affirming his fight to maintain a sense of normalcy amid the struggle.

Pope Leo on Sunday condemned what he described as a “terrible massacre” in Benue State, Nigeria, where over 200 people were reportedly killed in a brutal attack in the Yelewata community of Guma Local Government Area. During his Sunday Angelus prayer at St. Peter’s Square, the Pope offered heartfelt prayers for the victims, many of whom were internally displaced persons (IDPs) who had sought refuge at a local Catholic mission. He described the attack as particularly horrific due to the vulnerability of the victims.
The pontiff expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence targeting rural Christian communities in the region. “I am praying for security, justice, and peace in Nigeria,” Pope Leo said, adding, “In a special way, I am thinking of the rural Christian communities of Benue State, who have been relentless victims of violence.” The latest attack is one of many attributed to herdsmen violence in the state, raising further alarm over the security situation in central Nigeria.

Bournemouth have completed the signing of French left-back Adrien Truffert from Ligue 1 side Rennes in a deal worth up to £14.4 million ($19.5m). The 23-year-old, who has agreed a five-year contract, joins the Premier League club after making 212 appearances for Rennes, where he rose to become club captain. The transfer comprises an initial £11.4 million ($15m) fee with an additional £3 million ($3m) in potential add-ons, and Rennes have secured a 10% sell-on clause as part of the agreement. Truffert, who made his senior debut for France in 2022 after progressing through the youth ranks, described the move as “a great opportunity to keep progressing” and said he felt the club’s confidence in him from their first talks.
Bournemouth’s president of football operations, Tiago Pinto, hailed the signing, noting Truffert’s blend of experience and youth. “Adrien is a player that we’ve admired for some time, and he brings significant experience to the squad despite still being just 23,” he said. The move comes amid speculation surrounding the future of Bournemouth’s current left-back Milos Kerkez, who is reportedly in talks to join Liverpool. Truffert’s arrival marks another signal of Bournemouth’s intent to strengthen ahead of the new season, with the Frenchman expected to slot into Andoni Iraola’s plans as the club looks to build on last season’s progress.
