Memphis rapper GloRilla is addressing her recent arrest after news broke that she had been taken into custody on felony drug charges. The 26-year-old Grammy nominee, whose real name is Gloria Woods, took to X on Thursday, July 24, to explain her side of the story, revealing that her home was invaded while she was away performing at the WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis. “My house got home invaded Saturday while I was in Indianapolis… and instead of focusing on finding the suspects, they focus on some cannabis,” she wrote.
According to law enforcement, three individuals attempted to break into GloRilla’s Georgia residence and fled after being shot at by someone inside. According to a statement released by his family, the highlife legend died in a hospital after a brief illness. With a career spanning over three decades, Daddy Lumba released 33 studio albums and rose to fame in the early 1980s with his breakout hit “Yeeye Aka Akwantuo Mu,” as part of the Lumba Brothers duo with Nana Acheampong.
