More than 100 cherished items from Princess Diana’s wardrobe are heading to the auction block this month in what Julien’s Auctions is calling the “largest collection” of the late royal’s fashion ever offered for sale. Titled Princess Diana’s Style & A Royal Collection, the auction includes everything from Diana’s iconic floral Bellville Sassoon “caring dress,” worn on hospital visits and estimated to fetch up to $300,000, to her scarlet nylon ski suit and a Dior handbag gifted by France’s former first lady, Bernadette Chirac. The sale also features handwritten letters, fashion sketches, and pieces worn during Diana’s many public and private appearances, offering a deeply personal glimpse into her timeless sense of style.
The live auction will take place later this month at The Peninsula in Beverly Hills, with online bidding already underway. Highlights include two high-estimate gowns: a cream silk Catherine Walker evening dress worn during Diana’s 1986 Gulf tour and a floral piece she frequently wore from 1988 to 1992. Items from other royals, including Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen Mother, and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, are also included, with some dating back to the 19th century. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Muscular Dystrophy UK. “Princess Diana’s legacy lives on not only through her humanitarian work but also in the timeless elegance of her style,” said Julien’s Auctions co-founder Martin Nolan.

Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Jobe Bellingham from Sunderland in a deal worth an initial £26.96 million (€32m), with a further £4.2 million (€5m) in potential add-ons. The highly rated England youth international has signed a five-year contract running until June 2030. Bellingham, who played a key role in Sunderland’s promotion to the Premier League last season and was named Championship Young Player of the Season, made 90 appearances for the Black Cats after joining from Birmingham City in 2023.
The move sees Bellingham follow in the footsteps of his older brother, Jude Bellingham, who made his name at Dortmund before signing with Real Madrid. With the deal finalized June 10, Jobe will be eligible to represent Dortmund at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, starting June 17 against Fluminense. In a heartfelt message to Sunderland fans, Bellingham thanked them for their unwavering support, promising to carry Wearside’s spirit with him throughout his career. His inclusion in England’s Under-21 European Championship squad has been confirmed, though head coach Lee Carsley is expected to release players for Club World Cup duty.
