After almost 10 years of marriage, Fox and actor Brian Austin Green announced that they were officially splitting up.

We’ve had an amazing relationship, and I will always love her and I know she’ll always love me,” Green said at the time. “As far as a family, what we’ve built is really cool, and it’s really special. So we decided let’s make sure that we don’t lose that. Let’s make sure that we’re always friends with each other and we’re a united front with the kids. We’ll do family vacations and holidays with the family and really make that a focus with the kids.”

The couple had three children throughout their marriage and continue to co-parent them to this day.

July 22, 2020: Megan Fox makes her first public comment

While promoting Midnight in the Switchgrass, Fox took the time to talk about how her time with MGK on set really was.

“I was, like, ‘Who is going to play this role?’ And he [said], ‘Oh, we just got Machine Gun Kelly,’ and immediately, I thought, ‘Uh oh,’”  she said on the Give Them Lala … With Randall. “Because I knew I could feel that some wild sh*t was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt, deep in my soul, that something was going to come from that.”

“I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame. Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately because I felt it right away.”

MGK also posted about the engagement on Instagram, saying, “I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birthstone) and the diamond (my birthstone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022.”

Following her statement about drinking MGK’s blood after their engagement, people online began to wonder what that actually meant. The actress then shared that it was for “ritual purposes only.”
