I Spent 2 Hours Trying Alo Yoga’s Comfy New Arrivals and Almost Bought These 13 Styles on the Spot

As a shopping editor, I’ve been lucky enough to try tons of different fashion brands over the years. In my everyday life, however, I often find myself returning to a handful of reliable go-tos. One of those tried-and-true favorites? Alo Yoga, the It Girl-approved activewear brand that I’ve been wearing for more than eight years. 

I first fell in love with Alo’s range of comfortable, functional leggings and sports bras that were way more fashion-forward than any other athletic apparel on the market. However, over the years, I’ve also embraced the brand’s non-activewear offerings, including staple tees and tanks, cozy sweat sets, knitwear, and even dresses. And I’m not the only one—Alo has an impressive (and lengthy) roster of famous fans, including Jennifer Lopez, Katie Holmes, Jennifer Garner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and brand ambassador Kendall Jenner.

If you’re always on the lookout for jeans-alternatives, you’re guaranteed to fall in love with the High-Waist Dreamscape Trousers. Featuring a cinched high-waist, polished pleat, and relaxed wide-leg fit, these pants look like tailored trousers but feel like sweatpants, thanks to their elastic waistband and flowy fabric. Seamless Ribbed Favorite Bra Tank

True to its name, the Seamless Ribbed Favorite Bra Tank may just be my favorite item that I tried on. Between the high neckline, ribbed material, and tank top-like length, it’s way more fashionable than your average sports bra, yet it provides plenty of support and holds up to even the sweatiest workouts. I like that I could wear it to SoulCycle or throw it on with baggy jeans for a casual everyday look. 

Airbrush High-Waist Biker Shorts

Whether I’m going to a workout class or just want to be comfy while running errands on a hot day, I’d pair the Seamless Ribbed Favorite Bra Tank with the Airbrush High-Waist Biker Shorts. These sculpting shorts are available in four colors, but I’m partial to this cute mint green. 

Supernatural Sweater Dress

This collared sweater dress was the first thing that caught my eye upon arriving at the Alo flagship, and when I felt the ultra soft, lightweight knit, I knew I had to try it on. With a flattering, curve-hugging fit, this effortlessly chic dress is absolutely worth the slightly steep price tag. Style it for summer with flip-flop kitten heels, a woven straw bag, and your go-to sunnies.

I already have it in black and candy red, but I was drawn to this limited edition soft beige since it will go well with the lighter colors I tend to wear during the warmer months. This crew neck will be a lifesaver for chilly nights at the beach this summer.    

High-Waist Airlift Leggings

Okay, so these aren’t technically a new arrival, but when it comes to booty-boosting leggings, it doesn’t get any better than the High-Waist Airlift Leggings, which have been co-signed by Jennifer Lopez, Hailey Bieber, and Kendall Jenner, per the brand. Made from Alo’s most compressive fabric, these leggings support and sculpt (while still having plenty of stretch). Plus, the shiny finish gives them a sleek, elevated look.    

Cashmere Plush Waffle Polo Tee

Sets take the stress out of getting dressed, and this cashmere waffle duo checks off all the boxes—it’s comfortable, versatile, high-quality, and utterly adorable. Paired with the matching shorts, this preppy polo embodies the quiet luxury aesthetic.
