At least once a week — let’s face it, at least once every day — the writers and editors across Refinery29 discuss the latest and greatest products in our lives, from some cool new water bottle that’s been absolutely saving our lives to a state-of-the-art sleep product that’s changed our eight hours for the better. And gatekeeping isn’t in our vocabulary, so we’re here to share the wealth and highlight our favourite products, just for you, each month.
All linked products are independently selected by our editors. If you purchase any of these products, we may earn a commission.

Nothing makes me happier in winter than a hot drink, especially if it’s sweet! The Velvetiser is so easy to use, quick to make and you can use it in the summer months too as it also makes chocolate milkshakes. But for now, I’m sipping on mint hot chocolates like there’s no tomorrow.

Let the hosting season commence! Hosting can be expensive, but it’s also such a joyful way to see loved ones over the holiday season. I’ve already started (because why not?), and my new crisp white Rebecca Udall linen table cloth is simply my new favourite thing. Made from heritage mill in Europe, it’s going to be a table staple for a long time to come. Has red wine already spilled on it? Yes. Did it come out? Yes, yes it did. Take note: USA shipping costs $22 and all import fees will be covered.

Baby, it’s cold outside. Inside, you’ll find me wrapped in my new Cozy Earth cuddle blanket. It’s so heavy it feels like a weighted blanket which is exactly what I need at this time of the year. It’s also very soft. It’s ideal for when you’re binge-watching the latest Netflix show, like The Beast In Me, and you actually just want to chill.

As a child of the 90s, and teen of the 00s the references to the Spice Girls, MySpace and the #girlboss era on the back of Sophie Gilbert’s Girl on Girl caught my attention instantly. This comprehensive look at pop culture of the past thirty years, and how it has shaped women’s relationships with themselves and other women quickly became my favorite read of the year. This is a must read for millennials, Gen-Z, and anyone interested in pop culture.

With Christmas coming up, I’ve been planning some festive get togethers at my place for friends which has put me in need of some new serving dishes. Hay is always my go to brand for homeware stuff and I’ve had my eye on their Barro Collection for a while, so this was a great opportunity to invest in this beautiful terracotta serving dish.

Tracey Borman is my favourite historian, with a clever knack for making complicated history both compelling and digestible. Her latest book, The Stolen Crown, pokes holes in everything we thought we knew about Queen Elizabeth I’s succession — the chain of events that led to James VI of Scotland (son of Mary, Queen of Scots, whom Elizabeth’s advisors famously executed for treason — oh, the drama!) taking the throne and ushering in the turbulent Jacobean era. A must for history nerds who want to learn without wading through stuffy prose.

I kept seeing these chrome coupe-stemmed serving bowls everywhere on Pinterest, and I’m desperate to take my Christmas and New Year serving game to the next level, so I’ve bought them, and they’re just as cool as the pics. You can put anything in them — cheese and grapes, cocktail cherries.

Everything in my apartment came with it, so I’m really keen to put my own stamp on the space. Most of it is light wood, but I prefer a more moody, brooding vibe, so this black wood table is right up my alley. Of course, I’m softening it with all my candles and cute books to keep it girly.

I’m a single millennial, so naturally my bedroom draws major inspiration from all the romantic historical dramas I grew up watching. My latest obsession: Lady Primrose’s Crown Candle on my nightstand. This beautifully detailed glass crown is the perfect centerpiece for anyone who still indulges in a little princess daydreaming when alone in her quarters. Meanwhile, the Royal Extract scent fills my room with a golden blend of honey, apple blossoms, and creamy milk. It’s warm, romantic, and utterly regal.

I received this in a gift bag and honestly assumed it would be another gimmicky facial tool but I could not have been more wrong. I’m obsessed with this roller. It’s dual-ended, so one side sculpts while the other smooths and de-puffs, and it genuinely makes a difference.
My favorite part? I keep it in the fridge so it stays extra cold. That cool feel instantly calms inflammation, wakes up my face, and is just so soothing and relaxing. Truly didn’t expect to love this as much as I do.

I originally bought these Loop Dream earplugs to help me sleep at night and drown out street noise, but now I use them when I want to focus too. They’re not totally noise-cancelling so I have no worries about falling asleep and not hearing my alarm. They’re very comfortable and adjustable to fit your ears with multiple tip sizes to choose from. I also just bought a pair of Loop Quiet earplugs to keep in my purse for whenever I need to block out sounds while I work or on the train.
