Some years, I’m all in on Black Friday. Other years, I take one look at the flashing banners and feel my shoulders climb. This year, I’m somewhere in the middle. I’m not chasing the wild deals, but I’m perfectly happy to browse for a few useful things before I step back for a short break later this week. If you’re in that same mood, here’s the small handful of Black Friday finds that actually caught my eye.
If you’re browsing this week, you can see my full list of Black Friday finds here. I’ll keep it updated as new things catch my eye.
Fun and Random Finds Everyone Can Use
Stitch Gun
A funny little gadget, but if you’ve ever had to safety pin close a top or needed a quick clothing fix before walking out the door, this stitch gun is just what you need. It’s inexpensive, practical, and far easier than wrestling with a needle and thread.
Glass Coffee Mugs
These double-wall glass mugs keep your coffee warm and your fingers cool, which feels like a civilized way to start the morning. I like that they can easily go in the dishwasher and microwave. They look pretty on the counter too, which is more than I can say for most of my mugs.
Haircare Product Travel Containers
If you like your toiletries neat and contained rather than rolling around like marbles in your suitcase, these Cadence travel containers are wonderful. The magnetic snap is oddly satisfying, and the sale price helps justify the upgrade. You can buy the hair set, body set, or both!
Air Purifier
If you have pets, allergies, or simply live in a home where dust seems to settle the moment you turn your back, this air purifier makes a noticeable difference. It quietly cleans a large room in about an hour, which is more than most models can honestly claim, and the HEPASilent technology captures the things you’d rather not breathe in. It’s a smart upgrade for winter when we’re all inside more.
Digital Timer with Whiteboard
If you like keeping your kitchen tasks in some kind of order and are old school, this timer helps to handle the chaos. Four separate alarms, plus a tiny whiteboard where you can put what each is for, will help you juggle all your tasks or cooking, especially if you’re hosting this holiday season.
Beauty Deals on Sale
TheraFace Depuffing Wand
Remember the brand that started the famous massage fun? They’ve added even more products to their lineup like this depuffing wand. If you wake up looking a bit puffy or like your face pressed itself into the pillow overnight, this wand helps undo the evidence. The warm and cool settings feel lovely first thing in the morning.
Skinfix Face Moisturizer
If you’ve hit the point where your skin drinks moisturizer and still begs for more, this cream is worth a look. It’s fragrance-free, rich without being suffocating, and loaded with lipids and peptides that help strengthen your skin barrier. My daughter loves this brand, and never goes without their Barrier+ Balancing Water Cream. We’ll both be taking advantage of the sale prices this year.
Dyson Supersonic Nural™ Hair Dryer
Dyson almost never goes on sale, so the fact that the new hair dryer is caught my attention fast. It’s a splurge but worth it.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
An easy little pencil that makes brows look fuller without being over the top. The fine tip keeps things natural. I’ve tried it before and would recommend it if you can find the right color! In case you’re interested, here’s How to Do Your Eyebrows Over 60.
Jessup Makeup Brushes
When was the last time you updated your makeup brushes? Probably never for many of us. These have soft bristles, no shedding, and a full set is less than the price of one high-end brush. This set makes great stocking stuffers for any woman, including yourself!
Latest Fashion Finds on Sale
Open Front Shawl Wrap
I saw my friend, Tania, share this wrap and how versatile it is, and I thought it was something that many of you would be interested in! I haven’t tried it myself, but you can wear it open, over your arms, or like in the picture above. I’m drawn to the black or navy plus it comes in other colors.
Wireless Bra
A comfortable, stretchy bra that stays put and doesn’t dig in by lunchtime. It’s the kind of basic you’ll be happy to have multiples of, especially at the sale price.
Leather Belt
A simple, modern belt that pulls an outfit together without trying too hard. The quality is excellent for the price, and it looks like it could be straight out of the Madewell store.
Columbia Heavenly Long Hooded Jacket
Warm, lightweight, and surprisingly flattering for a puffer. If you need a new jacket for winter, I like the price, color, and look of this one.
Lands’ End Ultralight Packable Down Jacket
Great for travel and mild winter days. It folds down small but still keeps you warm, and it’s heavily discounted right now. Lands End makes fabulous coats…I now own 3!
Eddie Bauer Waterproof Trench Coat
A truly reliable trench that handles rain, wind, and the general unpredictability of leaving the house in winter. It looks polished without trying too hard, and the waterproof fabric means you can stay dry without hauling around a heavy coat. With the Black Friday pricing, it’s an easy upgrade if your old trench is starting to sigh at the seams.
Tech Upgrades and Deals
Privacy Screen Protector
A privacy screen protector limits side-angle visibility so only you can see what is on your phone, which is especially useful on flights or in waiting rooms. It maintains clarity straight on, allowing your phone to function normally while keeping wandering eyes at bay.
Retractable Car Phone Charger
This retractable design keeps cords from taking over the cupholder situation. It’s fast charging, compact, and much nicer than the usual tangle of phone cords.
Power Bank
I have a portable phone charger that I love, but I haven’t ever thought about a portable laptop charger until now. This would be extremely helpful to have while traveling!
Aura Digital Picture Frame
Simple to set up and even easier to update with new photos, this digital picture frame is a great way to keep distant family in the loop without managing group texts. A thoughtful pick for relatives you want to stay close to long after the holidays.
Helpful Gifts You Can Give Anyone
My Favorite Bedside Humidifier
The Canopy Humidifier 2.0 is the upgraded version of the one I already use, and the improvements make it even more appealing. It adds moisture to the air without creating mist, stays easy to clean, and several of the parts can go straight into the dishwasher, which is a small gift for anyone tired of scrubbing humidifier pieces by hand.
She’s Birdie Personal Safety Alarm Disc
I’ve mentioned Birdie before because it’s smart to keep one handy. A quick pull activates a loud siren and flashing light. I’d highly recommend carrying one with you after dark, no matter where you’re going. It’s something you hope you never need but will feel better having.
Personal Safety Door Alarm
I’ve heard horror stories of women traveling or being home and having someone open their door. The brand’s travel-friendly door alarm adds an extra layer of reassurance when you’re staying in hotels or rentals. It installs easily and sounds instantly if the door opens.
Bose Headphones
These headphones make noisy environments fade into the background instantly, whether you’re traveling or just trying to read in a busy house. Soft, cushy, and one of the better deals Bose has offered all year. My husband is getting these 🙂
HexClad Nonstick Frying Pan
HexClad’s hybrid technology combines stainless steel durability with nonstick convenience, which explains the almost cult-like loyalty of its fans. This frying pan heats evenly, handles high temperatures without warping, and cleans up quickly, making it a workhorse for everyday cooking.
Ninja Crispi
Clear containers so you can actually see your food cooking, and they’re made of glass for easy cleaning. Ninja rarely stays in stock during Black Friday, so this price won’t last long.
Ninja Knife Set
Sharp, sturdy knives with a built-in sharpener, which feels like a small miracle if yours tend to dull overnight like mine do. A practical upgrade for everyday cooking, and the sale price makes it an easy one to give or keep for yourself.
Corner Bread Box
This bread box has a clever corner design that frees up counter space. Keeps bread fresher and looks far better than the pile of bags most of us end up with.
Battery Operated Salt and Pepper Shaker
The quick-change pods on these electric shakers let you switch spices without dismantling your whole setup. It somehow makes even the most mundane kitchen tasks feel a little more luxurious, which I’m never mad about and makes a great gift.
4-in-1 Carbon Monoxide Detector
A simple plug-in device that monitors carbon monoxide, gas leaks, temperature, and humidity all at once. It’s one of those household essentials that’s much better to buy before you need it.
Apple Airpods Pro 3
These are one of those rare gadgets that actually live up to the hype. The sound is excellent, the noise cancellation is impressive, and they pair instantly to your Iphone. This is the latest version that even has the live translation feature. They almost never go on sale, so this is the perfect time for a headphone upgrade.
If you’re browsing a bit this week, I hope this short list keeps things simple and saves you from the usual Black Friday overwhelm. I’ll be stepping away for a few days to be with my family and reset before December picks up its usual pace. I’d love to know… are you diving into the sales this year, or spending the long weekend doing something that fills your cup?
