Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion might have some competition for the NBA-and-rapper power couple spotlight. Rapper GloRilla and Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram appear to be the newest duo heating both the hardwood and the headlines. During the Raptors’ matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, GloRilla took her courtside seat, alongside stylist EJ King, and made sure everyone knew who she was rooting for. Cameras caught her loudly cheering for Ingram throughout the night, but it was the post-game moment that really got fans talking: Brandon Ingram walked over to the front row, shared a playful handshake with GloRilla, and sealed it with a kiss that instantly went viral.
The affectionate exchange served as a hard launch for the pair’s budding romance, confirming months of speculation following their flirty summer sightings in Cabo. Social media erupted with support, calling the moment “sweet” and praising Ingram for “earning that kiss.” While Ingram’s performance gave Raptors fans something to celebrate on the court, it’s the PDA that’s dominating timelines and headlines alike. With this courtside smooch, GloRilla has officially entered her NBA-WAG era, and fans are here for every second of it.

3. Amazon Cuts 14,000 Corporate Jobs as Spending on Artificial Intelligence Accelerates
US online retail giant Amazon said on Tuesday that it is eliminating 14,000 jobs to streamline its operations as it invests in artificial intelligence, without saying where the cuts will come ➡️ pic.twitter.com/j8tdj5Kwj4

Amazon announced Tuesday that it will eliminate about 14,000 corporate jobs as part of a sweeping cost-cutting effort aimed at redirecting resources toward artificial intelligence and cloud computing. The move affects roughly 4% of the company’s corporate workforce, which totals about 350,000 employees. Impacted staff will begin receiving notifications on Tuesday, according to a letter from Beth Galetti, Amazon’s Senior Vice President of People Experience and Technology. Affected employees will have 90 days to apply for internal roles, and those unable or unwilling to transition will receive severance, health benefits, and job placement support.
The layoffs come as Amazon continues a major push into AI infrastructure and services, with CEO Andy Jassy highlighting plans to build “thousands more” AI applications across the company. In 2025 alone, Amazon has committed roughly $40 billion to data center projects in Mississippi, Indiana, Ohio, and North Carolina, including a $10 billion AI campus in North Carolina. While Amazon’s cloud unit, AWS, reported a 17.5% revenue increase last quarter, analysts say the company is tightening operations to balance heavy AI spending with profitability goals. The cuts mark Amazon’s largest workforce reduction since 2023, when 27,000 jobs were eliminated. Experts describe the move as a “deep cleaning” of Amazon’s corporate structure. This signals a broader shift from human capital toward technological infrastructure as the company positions itself for an AI-driven future.

FIFA has launched the second phase of ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup, offering one million tickets through a randomized draw that runs through Friday. This phase introduces a key feature: a domestic exclusivity period for fans in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the three host nations. Residents who enter the draw before the Friday deadline will have priority access to single-match tickets for games held in their respective countries. The exclusivity period lasts until 11 a.m. ET on Friday, ensuring that local supporters get the first chance to secure seats on home soil. Successful applicants will be notified at least 48 hours before their assigned purchase window opens.
Globally, fans can still participate in the draw, with purchase windows for successful entrants running from November 12–15, and notifications sent in advance. FIFA says this phase follows massive demand during the initial presale, where more than one million tickets were sold. Fans from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico leading purchases. Other top markets included England, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, and France. “This second phase, with its host country domestic exclusivity time slot, will allow us to say ‘thank you’ to these local fans while ensuring global opportunity as well,” said Heimo Schirgi, FIFA’s chief operating officer. Once the domestic window closes, ticket access will expand globally on November 17, with more tickets to be released in upcoming phases as FIFA continues its gradual rollout ahead of the largest World Cup in history.
